This article was great in that they did a case study on the schoolteachers' workplace learning. What they found is that there should not be boundaries that defines how educators learn and practice.

This website by Phil and Heather Hodkinson provides a powerful case study on Schoolteachers' and Workplace Learning, and examines the similarities and differences between classroom and workplace learning in regards to CoP.

I really like this article. Gives so many examples of free collaboration/sharing tools in the classroom. I appreciated the use of not only social media sites, but so many interactive sites that include collaboration tools - Even game-based learning ideas. Thanks for sharing! Matt

I have to try more of these tools out. It's great that this resource is found and can help our learners stay connected and that we have these kinds of resources to allow them to digitally create and collaborate on projects, and ideas.

I use this site for ideas on how to intergrate technology into my curriculum. I do not use this site only, however, it is a great place to start.

This is a great article with a bunch of ideas for how to integrate technology into our daily lessons with our students. This made me realize just recently in my own browsing that I came across a great resource I should share back with you. It's http://www.cnn.com/studentnews/index.html and it can help students read the news of the day, has video clips to watch as well as questions and topics for discussion. Another useful "daily" that can be done in the class. Thank you for sharing these great ways to integrate more tech into what we do!

This video was really helpful. The only thing that has changed is Desmos is not available as an add-on to Google Drive. I had to go to the Desmos webpage but everything else worked well. This will come in handy as I create more project-based lessons.

This is a planning and organizing tool that can be used by a group. It synchs up with Google calendar and all members of the group can list tasks, add dates and check off completed items. I have had students use this with success when doing group marketing projects.

These are some great ideas for using Twitter in the English classroom. In particular, I like using Twitter to build vocabulary, debate an issue or book interpretation, write a book review, or for short grammar exercises

On this website you can create and publish an e-book. The books are small picture book style books. The graphics included are fun whimsical style graphics, but you can also add your own pictures or graphics. I saw one book created by a teacher called The Rubric Teacher. The teacher created the book as a cute reminder that the students needed to follow the rubric when working on a project. This is a great way of emphasizing something that often gets ignored in a fun way the students will remember.

This is an online eBook creator. It is free if you want to share or embed the book on a website. You can also pay if you want the book to be printed for a hard copy.
