Here are my two. They are from eschoolnews.com. If you don't have a subscription you can sign up for free. It has great articles. I am always reading it in my free time. Also read the comments. Many times the comments will have even more useful information about the articles.
Here are my two resources for the week. Pinnacle Studio app for the iPad- free video editing app that is even more intuitive than iMovie. Very easy for students to use.
IXL- Math practice site that helps students focus specifically on skills they require. A bit costly for a classroom ($199 for 30 students), but it offers differentiated math programs from pre-k through Grade 9+, all linked to the programs that are specific to various countries, states and provinces. Outstanding program!
scratch -a programming language that makes it easy to create interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art -- and share your creations on the web.
Slide Roll -is a photo slideshow maker that you can use to create slide shows with your photos. You can make them interactive and post/embed them online
The second resource is MentorMob. It allows teachers to sift through information and make playlists. It allows teachers to focus the students's attention by creating learning playlists of relevant content which can be enhanced by quizzes and comprehension exercises to test their knowledge as they go
http://quizlet.com, a great site for making, saving your own online quizzes, or find a quiz someone else has already posted!
http://www.choosemyplate.gov/ has many activities in nutrition for students of all grade levels.
These are both fun easy reads:
