I found this article to be interesting, especially as I look at how to have my second grade students use social media in the classroom. It makes a great point of stating why it is important and engaging to students.

This article was very enlightening for me, since I have also taught second grade the past three years, and wondered how to incorporate social media into my classroom. The article mentioned posting to a Padlet wall. I have done this in my classroom, but it still doesn't get the students interacting with students around the world. Then, the article mentioned using a KidBlog and Twitter. I really like how they could post their science observations to Twitter using a class account instead of student accounts. I think this would make a great first step in introducing primary students to social media.

This was a good read because it looked at ways to use social media in the primary grade classrooms which seems to be a generally overlooked grade span. Most think that social media doesn't apply to grades K - 3 because the kids are too young, but this article presented really interesting ways it can be used in all classrooms, regardless of grade.

This article was extremely helpful for me. I have often had a hard time figuring out how social media could be incorporated into the early elementary classrooms. This article gave very solid advice and evidence of its benefits.
