  Summary: This article explains the importance of social networking in education. One of the examples I enjoyed looking at more carefully was the EdChat since it started as a Twitter conversation #edchat. The idea that teachers can use PLNs to navigate through issues that they encounter or a place to reach out a share a good idea, is a great platform that was not available when I was student teaching. This article also discusses how to build a network and connect to existing networks.
