This is a very graphic intesive Island with many cool items. The best part for me was the freebies. They had safety glasses, lab coats, geeky science shirts and more!
But as for the more important stuff. It contains PowerPoint slides on topics such as pollution, water desalination plants, and current research on such diseases as AIDS. There are a number of Periodic Tables some of which are interactive and others which can be used as carpeting. Another great part of this SLURL is the focus on science topics relavant to people in society. It is focused on the main issues causing problems in our world right now!
You have got to check it out even if you are not a science teacher.
I thought this was a great site, especially the current research on diseases and the information present on such topics as pollution and water desalination. My students are doing research on critical issues and this would be great for them to see. I thought the over sized atoms, molecules, and DNA structures were awesome and I loved being able to get myself a science t-shirt. I was trying to find my group a set of lab coats but was unable to find them. Can you direct me, Eric, to where on this island I could find those?
I really liked this location. I found it really easy to navigate. I liked the museum. I felt like I was in an actual chemistry museum with floating molecules and explanations.

I think if I remember correctly the buildings next to the different research PowerPoints had some free items in the lobby as well as the second floor.
