    This article reinforces the importance of creating structure when using social media in the classroom. "... the use of social media in school can't be left to chance; it needs to be mediated." I think this article makes great points about integrating SM into the classroom and its role in empowering our students.

    This is such an important topic, Christine. As we begin to bring the social media tools that our students use on an everyday basis into the classroom it is so important that we create that same "structure" and "guidance" that we do with all of the other tools and materials that we use. They need and expect this from us in this rapidly changing era of technology.

    This is a pretty cool app. I could see using this while at a concert. Some of the plug-ins offer some other options, like simultaneous searches, photo viewing, document viewing, which could be extremely useful. It really makes a phone call more interactive.     There are so many online tools out now for teaching how to write. Back in my day (which wasn't that long ago) The only technology we had was turnitin.com, a plagerism website. Now, using writing software (such as an updated version of turnitin.com, students can edit each others papers, teachers can track and edit changes to student papers and more!
