I think this is another great website on assessments. Especially when teaching elementary students who may not understand what that means, some of these ideas will help them to understand on what we the teachers are asking them to do. I would make it fun so that they don't see it as a bad thing.
I really just thought this was an interesting topic. I still really hate powerpoints and I just find them super boring unless the teacher spices them up with fun videos, cute graphics, instead of just the boring words on the screen type of feel!
This website I found to be very helpful when it comes to language arts and spelling lessons in the classroom. It gives you many interesting ways to plan your lesson around spelling and language arts and general and gives many articles and useful words lists!
This site requires subscription, but would be very helpful. It has movies on all kinds of topics (adaptations of books, documentaries, etc.) Even has worksheets that go along with the movies.

This page helps the teacher use data efectively. It talks about the different types of assesments. Araes to focus on include classroom assesments, cumulative files and state tests
At some point during our career (especially if your an elementary teacher) we will have a student that is struggling with reading. This site/Article helps teachers to better deal with this.
Great resource and definitely worth the $40/year fee. This website pretty much does it all. It gives advice from veteran teachers, provides printables, and gives great ideas for lesson plans appropriate for each grade level
