a short video clips in which you can pick from to watch and learn about nasa. There are short interview of people who work for Nasa and space missions and what they do. Very neat for looking at different types of jobs for children.

Great space project ideas I could use in my classroom for a space unit where students are making galaxies and gases out of food and also art work.

This website contains many games and other missions where students have to become astronauts and explorers discovery comets and going on a galaxy hunt are just two of the activities. Great for a "station" in computer time for science.

Great website to learn about the history of presidents. I could also spark a good writing lesson on "if you were president what would you do." Students could really take this website into their own hands and learn through exploration of it.

This would be a great website to use for research and learning during Black History Month for students to see all of the famous contributions made through science.

This is a great interactive site where students can learn more about location and animals in their habitats. Habitats are a big part of the fourth grade curriculum.

Journey Into Amazonia features the swollen rivers, flooded forests and dense canopy of the vast rain forest recognized as one of Earth's natural wonders. My students can actually feel like they are searching through the amazon and learn more about rainforest in their habitat units.

A digital library containing Java applets and activities for K-12 mathematics. Can use in classroom for lesson or smartboard lessons when manipulatives are not available.

Includes information and videos on many science and nature topics including space, dinosaurs, etc. Great to use in the classroom for my space unit where students were studying the solar system.

This website would be great to use for the animal habitat projects that we did last year in fourth grade. It also has lots of information just on animals where you could use to do animal research for a project.

Very cute ways to asses students on the different stages of the butterfly. The students read about the butterfly stages on the website and then create a step by step kid pix of the stages themselves. Would love to use for science!

Great resource for biographies for students to look up famous people when doing a report.

This is a webquest where students will work together to write and research ancient Mali. This pertains to a social studies unit that I had to teach last year and would come in handy in the future. Students are working on their research skills.

This is a great interaction tool where you are using a geoboard online instead of in the class. You can move the rubber bands around and it calculates the area for you. It also asks you to color in the different shapes.

This website shows rectangular multiplication. I would have been and would be a great resource for teaching the lattice method since my students had so much trouble remembering this last year.

Can be used in math as a game for counting and skip counting when learning math concepts in the classroom

A webquest for third or fourth graders "The case of the missing trunks." The students work in groups to discover voyage information the famous explorers including Jacques Cartier and Christopher Columbus

This lesson hits around the 3-4th grade level. It is a fun activity that helps teach division through reading the book, When the Doorbell Rang to the class. The students get to have cookies and milk which anytime you use food in a lesson I have learned in motivating! They also will used kid pix for integration of technology after the story practicing creating problems for other students in the class to solve.

Great lesson using creativity in a multimedia slide show using Kid Pix- this is a language arts lesson that contains elements of nouns, verbs, sequencing..etc. This lesson is great because it goes into what the students need to know before beginning the lesson and what the teacher needs to perpare into for everything to run smoothly.
