Great to use in the classroom for students in social students in creating times lines for important people or events or even for themselves.

Kids in the House is all about the United States Congress. Students can dive into learning more about the House of Representatives as well as how a bill becomes a law. Interactive activites and games are available, as is a virtual "field trip" where students visit Capitol Hill. The Time Traveler feature is also helpful, as students can learn about the rich history of the House. Information about the Senate is also covered.

Several jobs are listed per category as well as information on what the job is like, what training or schooling is needed, expected salaries, job outlook, and similar jobs.

With Google Sites you can create customized websites and secure wikis for free.

This is a very informative video on place value. It takes the students through several relative scenarios and does a great job explaining why it's important to know that a digit's value is based on its position in a number. The video is easy to stop and start, and it would be helpful to students if shown on a mainstream classroom projection system (or in a computer lab, if need be).

Internet4Classrooms is great website for teachers. The site provides large collections of links, online practice modules, and assessment assistance. This page in particular points to math brain teasers available on the web.

This ISTE designed and inspired site offers help with K-12 professional development and school reform. The bookcase on the left side conatins a lot of good information, including curriculum and student stuff links that lead to resources in math, languages arts, the sciences, soical studies, and more.
