I recently came across this bank of resources from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland website. There are documents, posters, lesson plans, worksheets and videos available to help you introduce students to the idea of sustainable energy. Many of the resources are also available in Irish.

This looks like a really good idea. It may be more suitable to second level students but I'm thinking of attempting one or two of the lessons with my 5th class, perhaps later in the year.
