    Pre-Training: Powermylearning.org and eLearningindustry.com
    http://powermylearning.org

Power My Learning is a free platform for driving personalized instruction and self-directed learning. All the activities are aligned to the Common Core standards. This site is useful for pre-training because it allows the user to see what types of activities meet the Common Core standards. The advantages of using the site are, but not limited to: cost, ease of use and the variety of activities.

This site gives great information for pre-training knowledge about game-based learning. Information is broken down into easily understandable sections. Examples are given as well to assist in absorbing the concepts.

    Graphic Organizer: Inspiration9 and XMind

A graphic organizer is a visual display that demonstrates relationships between facts, concepts or ideas. A graphic organizer guides the learner's thinking as they fill in and build upon a visual map or diagram. The following web sites are user friendly as well as allowing for the creation of great final graphic organizer.

Inspiration 9 allows for the creation of webs, idea maps, mind maps, concept maps, graphic organizers, process flows, and other diagrams for thinking, organizing and writing. These can be used for visual thinking and learning techniques to brainstorm ideas, explore and explain relationships, and integrate new knowledge with what you already know. Inspiration encourages deeper, more critical thinking and that improves creativity, comprehension and retention.
    http://www.xmind.net/

XMind is an open source project, which means it's free to download and free to use forever. If you would like a more in-depth version, you can upgrade to XMind Plus or XMind Pro. Besides the Mind Map structure, XMind also offers Org-chart, Tree-chart, Logic-chart, etc. These charts play an important role in projects. The charts can also be used within one map.

    Presentation: Prezi and Emaze

    http://prezi.com/

Prezi is cloud-based. Which means you can present from your browser, desktop, iPad, or iPhone and always have the latest version of your work at your fingertips. Create or edit on the go, then auto-sync across all your devices. I find this very helpful as I usually work from more than one device when I am working on a project/presentation.

    http://www.emaze.com/

Emaze is very user friendly. There is a variety of professionally designed free presentation templates that can be used to easily create an amazing visual experience for your audience. Emaze features a proprietary state of the art HTML5 presentation maker that will create the slideshows, video presentations and even 3D presentations in order to create a unique presentation.

Authentic Assessment Activity: Adventure Game Studio, Globaloria, and Sandbox Gamemaker

    http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/

Adventure Game Studio is a downloadable program that provides the tools to make your own adventure. The best part is that it is free. Educators can bring in their own story and artwork and slot it in, and let AGS do the rest. AGS provides everything you need from within one easy-to-use application. Create, test and debug your game, all in one place.
    http://globaloria.com/

Globaloria.com sparks students' imaginations as they learn to design and program their own educational games through a mix of teacher-led instruction, team-based learning and online networking with experts and peers.
    http://www.sandboxgamemaker.com/

Sandbox game-maker offers a free 3D game-making engine. A more advanced option for more ambitious game creators. This open source tool makes it easy for kids and adults to make their own games!
