It can be used for essential or generative learning through participation in discussion threads, learning groups and communities, delivery of content for assignments and resources, and taking tests and quizzes. * I found Edmodo to be better than other authentic assessment activity resources because many teachers use it as a learning management system, it is easy to use and provides a safe and secure online classroom environment that is free. Edmodo also provides the capability of interfacing assignment and assessments with other web resources.

* Mastery Connect allows teachers to assess any content and curriculum, monitor student achievement, and report student mastery to parents and administrators. It provides curriculum maps, multi-standard benchmark assessments, integrated standards-based resources and allows for remediation and re-teaching. * I found Mastery Connect to be better than other authentic assessment activity resources due to the ability to view current mastery status of all students aligned with state and Common Core Standards, and to have built in resources to assist struggling students.

* PowToon is a new presentation tool to create animated presentations and cartoon style videos. It can be used to captivate the interest of students of all ages, increase engagement and provide an excellent alternative to PowerPoint and Prezi that I will use in my workshop presentation.
* I found Powtoon to be better than other presentation websites due to the ease of use of this web resource that is new to most students and teachers. Powtoon also encourages excitement and motivation of students learning with the creation of animations, and it is free!

* Prezi is a web based presentation tool similar to PowerPoint slides, except with a non-linear format that makes it fun to create and present ideas along with making connections between them. Prezi is also a tool for demonstrating new information to enhance the learning process along with providing mobile sharing and collaborative resources.
* I found Prezi to be better than other presentation websites because it is more effective at creating engaging presentations and works from any device with Internet browsing capabilities, which will enhance the possibilities for teachers in my workshop to utilize different mobile devices during my presentation.

* Makes Sense Strategies creates SMARTSheets™ that are research based visual teaching tools or graphic organizers on steroids! The SMARTSheets™ are specialized, discipline specific graphic organizers that can be tailored individually to each student to address Common Core State Standards and enhance highly engaging strategic instruction.
* I found Makes Sense Strategies to be better than other graphic organizer websites because it provides a research-based tool of resources to assist teachers with the implementation of the Common Core State Standards. The plethora of resources for K-12 teachers of all subject areas is a bonus few other graphic organizer websites have.

* MindMeister is an online mind mapping and brainstorming website used to create multiple kinds of graphic organizers. The template library provides many different kinds of examples that provide curriculum activities for essential or generative learning including prioritizing information, extending understanding of important concepts, project planning, drawing conclusions, making connections to other ideas, and making inferences.
* I found MindMeister to be better than other online graphic organizer websites due to the ease of use, variety of templates available, and it is free to create up to three maps at a time.

* Tagxedo is a great way to make "word clouds" from websites and different social networks in real-time by customizing the font, theme, color, orientation, and shape. Tagxedo is an excellent resource to use when introducing new content material, because of the ability to use Internet web addresses and other media that can be added to the word cloud.
* I found Tagxedo to be better than other "word cloud" websites because it is effective at using paragraphs of text to highlight key vocabulary and has many options to create a better-finished product that can be transferred to other mediums.

* Wordle is a "word cloud" generator from text that you provide giving greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. The clouds can be tweaked with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes, and the images can either be printed out or saved to the Wordle gallery to share with others online. Wordle can be used to introduce key vocabulary for a lesson or unit providing a visual of important terminology. * I found Wordle to be better than other "word cloud" websites I looked at because it is simple to use and there are many excellent examples created by others that are provided for ideas.
