I found this imaginative, very straight-forward, well-organized and appropriate for adults. Multimedia learning can incorporate simple F2F strategies for getting people to know each other when the workshop is blended (i.e. both online and F2F).

Creating a timeline is an authentic task for people because they are actively involved in the process of designing. In order to make this into an authentic assessment of learning you, as the instructor, would need to design a very specific rubric for student referral.
