The authentic assessment activities permit the participants to construct a final project to demonstrate their new knowledge. The tools provide text and visual means to express their experience, and provide a means for others to peer review their product. These real world tasks offer a learning experience with practical application.

    Wikispaces www.wikispaces.com
Wikispaces is an instructional tool where student can share ideas, collaborate, and receive feedback from peers and instructors. The wiki is a flexible and a creative way to share a classroom environment, or learner centered blog (social writing platform). For the workshop, the participants will develop a team wiki to share their ideas, and products.
Selection: Wikispaces provides a foundation for collaborative writing in a semi-open learning environment where students can share ideas. The classroom is not closed or restricted like Edmodo, but it is an adaptable classroom tool that uses modern browsers, tablets, and phones for student interaction.

    Animoto http://animoto.com
Animoto is a video editing tools. The application permits participants to create a digital portfolio to express an experience or a resumé through a multimedia presentation. In the workshop, the final assessment includes a 30 second digital assignment that demonstrates a collaborative or critical thinking activity.
Selection: Animoto is a useful tool in the classroom. The basic (free) version allows participants to create a 30 second video. Teachers can signup for a free pro version that allows for 20-minute videos. The application is available for personal devices, and allows sharing on most social media sites. Other similar solutions (Magisto, Videolicious, etc.) cost money to start, and limit the number of images to upload.
