Twitter is however a fantastic mechanism for measuring "the pulse" on any subject, event or person. People follow others with like minded interests and Twitter accounts with large followings therefore reflect opinions that have highly regarded value. These days, Twitter is a powerhouse for marketing, communication, business, and even education, letting people from around the world work together, share ideas, and gain exposure. It has become a staple at many online colleges and campuses as well, leaving many academics wondering just how and if they should be using Twitter both in the classroom and in their professional lives. We got so many additions and updates to our 2011 list we thought it was time to bring you the most up-to-date list for 2012. So, without further ado, here's the 2012 A-Z list of educational Twitter hashtags. We went through all the comments on the 2011 version, wrote down all the Twitter and Facebook updates, and compiled this list over the course of several months. "Unfortunately, an impending disaster is sometimes the impetus for naysayers to see the worth of a service like Twitter.
