This article is about a food shortage around the world caused by global warming and enviormental probelms. Because the Earths Ozone is slowly being destroyed, the heat from the sun will cause severe drought. This means that the vegatables, fruits, and grains grown around the round will have and interrupted growth cycle and may not grow at all. In the article it says that the harvest of rice and maize will decrease from 20 to 30 percent. Some shortages may be expected and are just part of the cycle of the market. But unless we find alternatives to the things that are destroying our ozones, i dont think that our world can recover too well from this when it happens. This relates to economics to economics because we talks about shortages in our class. I believe this will be more of a scarcity than a shortage though, because we cant just repare our ozone layer overnight.
