While there are no price controls for cigarettes in Fiji at this time, retailers need to be careful to only sell tobacco products to people aged 18 years or older. This advice comes from Rajeshwar Singh, the British American Tobacco corporate regulatory affairs manager who is working to ensure that no tobacco products end up being sold to people who are underage. At this point, retailers set their own prices however if situations of tobacco being sold to people under the age of 18 arise then price controls may be implemented in Fiji.
