    This article states that as of now Republicans and Democrats have not come to an agreement over spending cuts or tax increases and it looks as though we are headed over the Fiscal Cliff this coming january. It is also said that consumer spending decreased this month of December as people are acting in fear of the looming problems to come.

    I chose this article because it relates to the topic we covered about money and credit cards. Discover, American Express and Capital One owe $435 million in refunds to about 6 million customers as a result of a government crackdown on deceptive credit card practices by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. These companies illegally charged higher interest rates and other violations that are now being rewarded back to the card holders.
