This is an article describing housing price increase due to demand in England. The factor that caused this increase in price is demand. Over the past five years, many homes have been bought in the U.K. This lifted the market from low base. Because more people are interested in buying homes, the prices have increased. It has created a great divide between those who can afford to pay and those who can't. This has therefore made living harder for many people across the U.K.
