http://www.kbears.com/ - I hate this Web site because it took too long to load, it has a hidden pop up ad, it's got audio I can't control, and it's looks like more ads at the top. I think it's very annoying.
http://www.cybraryman.com/0_teachers1.htm - Argh. Such a good domain, but a poorly crafted site. Takes too long to load, stuff everywhere, can't find a thing. HOWEVER... a REALLY good source of information.
http://www.paulysplayhouse.com/ - Big dislike. Didn't find much educational here - just shooting games. Maybe I missed something...
http://www.bestedsites.com/ - Help! Get me outta here!
http://www.apples4theteacher.com/ - I hate things that pop up when I go to a Web site. Annoying! Also, too much white space... where should I go first? What can I find here? Can I buy children here?

http://www.funbrain.com/ - this website has lots of drill and practice work. The exercises are colorful and animated. This keeps the attention of students. There is a lot of variety in types of tasks, including science, math, and language. The difficulty of each exercise grows with the number of correct answers. Immediate feedback is provided on everything.
http://pbskids.org/catinthehat/games/index.html - lots of fun animation. I stayed very entertained on this Web site. I love that the Dr. Seuse characters are tied in. What great books! The sounds make it fun too... though... I do wonder how a student who's deaf or blind might interact with this site.
http://www.starfall.com/ - This site has great interactivity and good response mechanisms. I could see kids using this to practice their pronunciation and reading skills. The language allows clicking on individual words, where they then sound out loud. Check out the Earth Day section - you can drag recyclables to the bins and hear the words. Great! Lots of color, sound, kids voices, and animation make this site fun.
http://www.brainpop.com/ - This site is very well organized, and has lots of examples in many subjects. Uh-ho - you gotta sign up. It's worth it though. The lessons are obviously done by experts.
http://www.smithsonianeducation.org/students/ideaLabs/digging_for_answers.html - This site is kind of fun. I put it on my favorite list, but I think the text is way too small. Also, Flash presentations are going out soon because they aren't well supported any more. HTML5 is the ticket these days. In any case, the site is educational and interesting. I had to try several of the drills.
http://www.thinkquest.org/en/projects/index.html - Kind of complicated, but the site says you can create online, interactive projects with your students. Cool!
http://pbskids.org/rogers/ - I miss Mr. Rogers...
http://www.nga.gov/kids/kids.htm - Kids can play with art.

From Jennifer: http://www.gilderlehrman.org/historynow/09_2007/lp1.php - I am learning what I don't know about history. This site is really challenging. I was not a good history student (found it boring). I wish on the interactive that I could see the answers to the ones I missed. Oooh! just noticed that interactive history changes every time - that's cool.

From your second favorite site, I really like: http://xroads.virginia.edu/~ma02/amacker/etext/home.htm - lots of information on a subject dear to me: ornithology. It seems to have everything, but I guess it's really only Virginia's birds. It might be nice to see contemporary photos, but the illustrations are a great way to identify birds as well.

http://rubistar.4teachers.org/index.php?screen=CustomizeTemplate&bank_rubric_id=36§ion_id=8& - Even though I'm not a teacher, this website helps me to think like one.
http://www.wikipedia.org - Agree that it's hard to find trustworthy information here. However, it's interesting that people can write corrections if the information is not right.
