Indian Power minister Piyush Goyal reportedly announced that India is considering a target to transition the country to a 100% electric vehicle fleet by 2030, according to The Times of India.

India has completed the world's largest solar power plant-a 648 MW plant in Southern India. The $679 million plant is now operational and is expected to produce enough electricity to power about 150,000 homes.

"Circular Economy in India: Rethinking Growth for Long-Term Prosperity" (Ellen Macarthur Foundation) finds that following a circular economy development path could unlock $624 billion in benefits annually by 2050, compared to the country's current development path.
