Enabling users of assistive technologies to find their way through Web content requires embedding semantic metadata about Web document structural divisions. This is particularly important for structural divisions of long-form documents and goes along with embedding semantic metadata about Web-application widgets and behaviors for assistive technologies. This specification defines a set of WAI-ARIA roles specific to helping users of assistive technologies navigate through such long-form documents.

This document provides only a Primer to RDFa 1.1. The complete specification of RDFa, with further examples, can be found in the RDFa 1.1 Core [rdfa-core], RDFa Lite [rdfa-lite], XHTML+RDFa 1.1 [xhtml-rdfa], and the HTML5+RDFa 1.1 [html-rdfa] specifications.

This specification defines new HTML attributes to embed machine-readable data in HTML documents in a style similar to RDFa. It is compatible with JSON, and can be written in a style which is convertible to RDF, although two-way conversion is not lossless.

The original intent of the Readium Chrome extension was  to be used primarily by authors, publishers, and developers creating and testing EPUB 3 content and tools. However the Readium Chrome Extension now has almost 600,000 active users (as of February 2016) and has been translated into 11 languages with the help of our contributors, so clearly we have exceeded that expectation.  That said, there is more to be done to make it a full-fledged EPUB reader.  While RCE supports almost all of the EPUB 3.0.1 standard, there are still some missing features (e.g. a sortable library, annotations, search, etc.), but  the Readium Foundation intends to continue expanding and supporting it in the future..
