Three key areas are addressed in the findings: technology can help teachers address individual needs and steer students toward proper resources; technology can help prepare kids for life and work in the 21st century global economy while enhancing knowledge and skills valued by employers, but not usually noticed by standardized testing; technology can help shift responsibility for learning back to the student, allowing them to personally organize their own learning process.

Each week, I require students to pick one of Jim’s Big Questions and write a 2 paragraph post about it.  They can respond by simply answering the question, creating a narrative story about the question, connecting the question to current events, or using a real life example to make a connection.  Some examples of the questions are: When do you feel most free? Why do we sing? When is it better not to know? Who is the real you?

As for teachers, it is imperative that educators  share curriculum, effective instructional strategies, and assessment, in order for the school community to accomplish the goals of the common core.

Perhaps with the help of their growing and helpful new learning  community they spend less time doing all the work themselves! They now have time to discover the thought of making it all a reality in the classroom.

I decided to share my story, how being on twitter, having a PLN and challenges my PLN propose have made me reassess my practices and change some of them, how they have helped me develop professionally and learn.
