How do we assess in a PBLL environment? 

Driving Question: How can student voice and choice enrich language learning? Recent articles in publications like The Atlantic and The Hill highlight what many describe as a dismal state of language learning in the United States. Both pieces speak to the largely ineffective outcomes of language study, since so few language learners achieve a meaningful level of proficiency, even after years of study. Contributing to the state of language discussion, a recent ACTFL study shows that fewer students are pursuing language study. What seems like a lack of serious commitment to improve outcomes in the U.S. also reflects a long-standing cultural attitude that language learning isn't a worthwhile endeavor.

Le Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Ressources Naturelles et du Développement Rural (MARNDR) éprouve la plus grande satisfaction à publier cet atlas agricole d'Haïti. Cet extrant informationnel, qui vient deux ans après la collecte exhaustive des informations au niveau de toutes les exploitations agricoles du pays, est la dixième de la série. En effet, compte tenu de l'énorme masse d'informations à redresser, saisir et contrôler, qui porte sur un total de 1.053.107 exploitations occupant le paysage agricole haïtien et de l'urgence de publier les résultats, le MARNDR avait jugé plus approprié de le faire progressivement, c'est-à- dire département après département. Il s'ensuivra au terme de la série une consolidation des informations pour une projection nationale.
