"Concrete is an extremely versatile building material that can be supplied ready mixed, prepared freshly on-site, or delivered as pre-cast component parts that can be produced to the exact specification and quantity required. However, the almost infinite range of variables in the properties of a concrete mix can result in inconsistent tolerances and compromised safety, unless thorough and accurate testing is carried out. "
"Accurate testing and analysis of soil as an engineering material is crucial tothe success of a wide range of construction projects. Advances in technology are complementing traditional testing methods to offer benefits to both ground engineers and construction companies."
This project aims to provide a visual and interactive demonstration of electrical system faults which may occur under the MEN system. These include an open circuit and high resistance main neutral. It will assist the visual learner to see and understand what can occur in an electrical installation under these conditions, and the impact and possible dangerous situations that can occur. It will include methods of testing for these situations. Note: Link is not active yet.
A fully online training and assessment demonstration on Polarity Testing which is an essential skill for all electrical workers involved in electricity supply will be produced. The target group will be Electrical Supply Industry workers, including apprentices.
