    One software program any optimizer must love is Firefox. Now some may say 'Why Firefox, it's only a browser'? Yes, it's a visitor, but the one that supports a variety of jacks, some of them invaluable for seo. Therefore let's see what these plug-ins are:

    1. SEOpen ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/570/ ): this can be one of the best and most used Firefox seo extensions, and has many methods making it a favorite of mine. So let us see what it can do:

    * in Google it can examine for: backlinks, listed pages, related pages, cache and PageRank.

    * in Yahoo and MSN: indexed pages and backlinks. To research more, you might require to check-out: books critique.

    * for traffic details, Alexa: overview, backlinks and related sites.

    * keyword density of the very used words on the page.

    * DMOZ checker: see when the site is within the service.

    * search for robots.txt.

    * validator to check your page for problems (it uses the validator from www.w3.org).

    There are other activities, but these are the most crucial.

    2. Search Engine Optimisation Links ( http://www.webmasterbrain.com/seo-tools/firefox-extensions/seo-links/ ) is another expansion I personally use daily. If the expansion si effective and you hover over a link a tooltip will appear that will show you Yahoo, MSN, and Google link popularity and rank information for the URL and anchor text set. When you are simply searching this can be frustrating, but you can simply deactivate it having a right-click!

    This might be very easily used to check your se rankings for a certain site, and here is how: article a list with all the keywords and keyphrases you want to rank for, and then link those words or phrases to the website pages associated with them!

    Now everytime you want to check your ranks activate the Search Engine Optimisation Links extension and float on the links -- you'll see where your pages are in Google, Yahoo and MSN. This pushing search engine reviews paper has some wonderful suggestions for where to flirt with it.

    3. Don't waste anymore of your valuable screen property simply to uncover what your PageRank and AlexaRank is! SearchStatus ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/321/ ) can sit anyplace you want (I keep it in the status bar) and you'll receive the important info at a glance. But this small tool may do a lot more than that:

    * it shows what metatags a website has

    * assessments for backlinks and listed pages in Google, Yahoo and MSN

    * it shows the document

    * keyword density statement function

    * and best-of all: the spotlight 'nofollow' links will show you what links will be accompanied by search-engine spiders -- very helpful when you want to submit your website to a directory and don't know if it will matter from the seo perception.

    Therefore just in case you are not applying Firefox, go get it! It might be your best friend when it comes to seo!
