"To teach the concept of posting and commenting, the students created physical blogs on bulletin boards in the hallway of the school." Before actually introducing a social media tool in the class we could have a blog wall to teach students #posting, #commenting and reflection to stare and frame their conversations and get them familiar with the process.
I love the idea of using downtime to peruse current events and trends. Between being a mommy, attending school, student teaching, serving in my church, studying music and everything else, I rarely have time to spend on social media.
"Survey Monkey is one of many online survey tools for capturing pre- and formative assessment of students' progress. This one is also a good tool for student feedback on the helpfulness of the intervention used"
I have used Survey Monkey in the past to create company-wide surveys to capture my colleagues ideas on diversity, company processes and best practices in nonprofit. Never have I thought about using survey monkey as an assessment tool for students....and the fact that it can be used for differentiation is even more exciting.
