  It is true in my classes as well, that the same students tend to dominate the discussions. Online discussion would be helpful for the students who are more shy, or for those who need to hear the information more than once, to participate and check themselves.

  So often, parents don't know what goes on in school, especially the good stuff. This give students the opportunity to document some of the things they find important and unique to the identity of the school and share it with the community. It is also good practice for those students who are interested in careers in PR, photography, film, etc.
