At work today a coworker was discussing how his child is able to "get out of math class" and attend extra hours of art! Wow! How is that possible? His child is excelling in math right now, so is able to complete unit tests if he does suffcient, he can skip out on class. I thought about how this child though may really enjoy art could benefit from curriculum compacting and enrichment. Maybe his art project could incorporate math to some extent.
