Some pieces of audio from a Cullen cutscene that didn't make it into the game (originally found here). I decided to try and edit together the clips to make it easier to enjoy without having to download the .zip file. So in Trespasser you find these "Torn Notebook in the Deep Roads" Codex entries made by an elf who is with the Qunari. In the First, the elf notices that the statues of Fen'Harel in the Deep Roads aren't ones where he is being honored, but ones depicting that he is an attendant to Mythal, one who guarded her.

Quick fic writing question: do we have any idea what kind of spices they use in Kirkwall/the Free Marches? Or, failing that, what kind of climate they have (and ergo what kind of spices?) Longer answer, because I've had it ready to go for a while and it seems appropriate for this.

At last, we have a canon ruling on the official/common language of the Tevinter Imperium. Lead DA writer Patrick Weekes responded to my Tweet this afternoon in which I asked which serves as the common language of day-to-day communication: Tevene or Trade Tongue. According to Weekes' response, the common language of Tevinter is Trade Tongue while Tevene serves as "flavor" with "phrases peppering speech as a sign of education."

Have you ever heard of the theory that the black city is Arlathan (and that it was corrupted due to Andruils doing, when she went to the void and brought a "corruption" with her) and it's the prision of the elven gods? And if so, thoughts?

I don't know if you've already done the Merrill meeting the demon chapters, but please tell me Anton pees on Marethari's corpse because fuck I hate her. - Like I blame her for the entire Clan fiasco. I don't know how she thought telling the Clan to fear Merrill was going to inspire Merrill to return to the clan.

I realize this is super late, but I'm playing DA 2 again and everytime I do, something new just jumps out at me. In this case, it's the rather poor treatment of Merrill by many characters.If you're a fan of Keeper Marethari, you definitely do not want to be reading this.

The other day I said I was thinking about the timeline for Anders' years at Kinloch Hold but I got distracted by Sad Kanders Feels and never got around to clean it up. WoT2 says his magic manifested when he turned 12 and that's when he was taken to Kinloch.

I have always thought that one of the absolute most hardcore things in Inquisition is the fact that when you kill the more corrupted Red Templars, they don't leave loot pouches, they leave ribcages, like animals, and all they drop is red lyrium.

Aravels in Origins seem to have tent-like extensions: So the answer is sort of both. The canvas presumably packs away into the aravel when the clan's on the move, then opens out again when they stop.

about Titans and the Blight and the Evanuris, etc. (answer to a question I got before) from what I've discovered, my best guess is that the Titans (more specifically, the Blight unleashed by killing the Titans) were the last straw for Solas, in addition to Mythal's murder. It was a war against the dwarves/Titans that caused the Evanuris to be worshiped as gods, then "an aeon seems to pass" and, apparently, about the same time when Fen'Harel was rebelling against the gods about the slaves, something ominous starts to emerge from deep within the earth, where the Titans were killed…

this is one of those pedantic things that makes me second guess myself whenever i write fic but how long do you guys figure it actually takes to get from Skyhold to... well, anywhere? is it a relatively quick two day ride to the Hinterlands? is getting to the Hissing Wastes a two week commitment?
