http://psychcentral.com I too am a fan of this website. The wealth of knowledge available at this site is amazing. The site is easy to navigate. It is intuitive, and possesses just about anything you would need in the field of psychology. It has areas of content, areas of recent and ongoing psychological studies, and self help ideas. It has a blog site to share information and ideas. It even has book reviews that summarize new published materials. I highly recommend this site.
http://www.oliversacks.com Anything from Oliver Sacks is worth its weight in gold! I was so sad when I heard he died last year. When teaching a neurology unit in psychology, there are so many short stories that one can use as supplemental reading for the class. The stories are fascinating as Dr. Sacks describes his patients with various neurological complications. He writes at a level that all can understand. His ability to educate the reader and draw us in with emotion and sense of humanity are truly wonderful. Many of his most famous patients (readings), one can also find him discussing on various Ted Talks.
https://psychedout.wikispaces.com/IB+Psychology+-+SL I hope this isn't considered cheating, but when I knew I would be teaching this class next fall, I began by reading through the IB textbooks form Oxford and from Pearson and did not feel very comfortable with the course content. I thought it was very shallow and lacked what I expected from an IB course. I reached out to a colleague from a neighboring school who passed this site along to me. When I received this website and spent time on it, I felt much more comfortable with my decision to teach IB Psychology SL next year.
