Back in 2014, when medical billing services were asked to report medical procedures via ICD 10, the healthcare industry was quite in shock. Healthcare clearinghouses, medical billers and coders, and clinicians, who used to submit medical claims electronically were specifically required to document data according to the new coding system - ICD 10.

Medical coding was already a complex subject to talk about, and with the introduction of the ICD-10-CM coding system, it gets a touch more difficult. If you look at it from the skills perspective, the subject poses difficulty to high schoolers with average grades. A hard-working candidate has a chance of making it big in this industry with a decent pay scale at the very start.
