Mkt may fall 5% further; IT still attractive - Trade4Target
The current market fall is likely to fall anything between 3 to 5 percent and may find a floor at those levels, says C Jayaram, joint managing director,
Kotak Mahindra Bank. Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Jayaram says the market has run up a lot post the general elections and is cooling off now. But for any rally
now, the market will need some robust global or economic triggers.

The market remained strong in morning trade with the Sensex surging 281.73 points or 1.07 percent to 26528.52 and the Nifty climbing 84.10 points or 1.07 percent to 7926.80 supported by broadbased buying. Market expert Ambareesh Baliga sees 7,800-7,750 as good support level for the Nifty. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, he said Nifty is unlikely to go much beyond 8,000 levels. He remains positive on cyclicals and expects them to become more attractive post any market correction. According to Baliga, the next leg of market rally will be led by cyclicals. The broader markets outperformed benchmarks with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising 1.4 percent each. Advancing shares outnumbered declining ones by a ratio of 1544 to 380 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The BSE Capital Goods, Realty, Metal, Banks, Healthcare, Power and Oil & Gas indices gained 1-1.7 percent. Hindalco and BHEL kept their top positions in the buying list, up 4.8 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively. Dr Reddy's Labs, Cipla, HDFC, Bank of Baroda, Ambuja Cements and PNB surged 2-2.6 percent. However, NTPC and Bajaj Auto were only losers in the Sensex 30 stocks.
Great post reflecting on the use of technology for students to create their own take on historical events. The students used iPads, Book Creator app, and their own creativity.
The site claims that it will address 10 times more mistakes than a word processor including contextual spelling errors and poor vocabulary usage.
Where was this grammar resource site/tool when I was having to write so many papers in college? Now this will be a great option to go right along with hemingwayapp.com for reviewing my blog posts.
Time to share this with my staff and students!
Some background
Four years ago I created Google Earth resources for the classroom and
posted them to the GE Community Forum. Two of them were
called Maths in Madrid and Maths in Las Vegas.
These were based on the fact that there is maths all around us, every day,
everywhere we look. Google Earth (and Maps) gives us a great perspective on it
all. It also provides easy access for our students to see rich visual content
that depicts everyday maths. I have always loved the idea of children seeing the
maths they are working on.
The only issue with Google Earth is that it is restrictive in two ways. It is
not browser based and it is impossible for me to create a resource for others to
collaborate on.
Turn what people post on social media into compelling stories.
You collect the best photos, video, tweets and more to publish them as simple, beautiful stories that can be embedded anywhere.
Really simple blogging platform. Sorts posts both chronologically and by media type (video, photos, links, text). Not many designs just yet, but looks great for the beginning blogger.
The NPCA has posted free podcasts to educatate the public and tell the stories about our National Parks. Have these stories on your iPod to listen while you visit or use them to learn more about these places before you go or when you return.
The Question and Answer Tool is for classes, presentations, panels, and other public discussions. Project it on a wall and advertise the URL to all attendees. Users can post questions to be included by a moderator, teacher, or panel member.
Our students deserve better training about how to navigate our new, complex, online information landscape. They don't learn about information literacy, bias, media literacy, assessment of online validity, and other critical online skills by being denied access to that information. They don't learn how to cite and use online resources appropriately if they can't use those resources and learn from their mistakes because the materials are banned.
Have you ever received an error message when trying to open a Microsoft Word document? Was it an important file for work or school? Whatever the case may be, it is very frustrating to not be able to open a file for no reason. However, this post will show you how to repair such files for FREE!
