My Dropbox is nearly full but I just came across this service, copy.com, that gives 15GB to start and 5GB additional for each referral. Very generous!

Hollington, Thanks for the tip on Copy.com. I will join and add to my cloud storage options. I recently used https://mover.io/ to move files from my nearly full dropbox to my box account. Mover.io is a great service. They start you off with 10 GB of transfer throughput, then you need to pay. Mover.io supports 22 cloud storage services, including Copy.com.

Assessment | News Varsity Tutors Debuts Free Test Question Site By Dian Schaffhauser 11/07/13 Varsity Tutors, a providor of private tutoring to students online, has launched a new, free service with the intention of becoming the "Khan Academy" of practice tests. The company has introduced a Web-based assessment system intended to replace other forms of educational content such as SAT or ACT preparation books or online subscriptions to assessment materials. Varsity Learning Tools, as it's called, makes hundreds of free practice tests available in 95 subjects. Currently in open beta testing, the site lists assessment tests by subject and allows the user to choose to answer a single test, flashcards, or a question of the day. Each question can be shared through social network services. When the student answers it, a second page displays with an assessment and explanation and data on how much time was spent on the question, and how many others answered it correctly." Creating a video doesn't have to be expensive or time-consuming. You don't even need to hire a production team. There are plenty of useful tools and services that can help you create a video fast. Good news is many of them are free. Today, we'll be focusing on the ones that are the easiest to use. We'll assume that you haven't used similar tools before, or that you don't have the time to read a thick user manual. Before we get started, though, don't forget that scripting your video can itself speed up the creation process. A script may take a bit of time to create, but it gives you a clear direction.

Abstract: Modern academic libraries cater the information needs of a more demanding and tech-savvy new generation user group that prefers to reside in an open, self-generated online environment largely supported by Web 2.0 technologies. To reach the users where they are, the libraries should revamp their service strategies by incorporating tools like blogs and online social networks. Blog is a handy technology for library professionals which can be reshaped as an information and publicity tool, as a feedback instrument, as an interactive and collaborative learning medium and as a facility for library promotion. Online social networks connect like minded people who share information, ideas and feelings. The unparalleled growth of user bases of these networks presents an opportunity before academic libraries that may be harnessed by making the library an active member of these communities. The experience of an academic library in India shows that reaching the user at their own time and space is more easy and productive when we adapt new web technologies.
