Remix and Contextualize is all about putting web literacy skills into other types of learning plans. Do and Share is about experimenting with collaborative, participatory learning spaces and using the online community to improve your practice. Within each topic are 3 subtopics - Those are the themes we'll be focusing on weekly. 9 themes, 9 week MOOC - nice how that worked out, don't cha think? For each theme, we'll be MAKING things to explore ideas because, you know, you learn lots when you make. We'll have a chance to look at each other's makes, give feedback, and hack on ideas throughout the 9 weeks. There will be several ways to follow along. Yeah it's still not the same as on PC, no easy way to access groups, etc. The official Diigo app development has been abandoned it seems. I've been using DiigoBrowser on iPad..it's not perfect but has much more functionaility.

You can find a great amount of helpful material on these sites, including videos to augment your lessons, lectures to inspire students, documentaries to show them how things work, and loads of additional videos to help you become a better, smarter teacher.

Diigo is better!

Evernote is currently my favorite service for note-taking and bookmarking. I have Evernote installed on my iPad, my Android Tablets, my phone, my computers, and I have the Evernote web clipper installed in all of my browsers. Because of Evernote's versatility I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good note-taking and bookmarking tool. One question that I often hear from first-time Evernote users is, there's so many options, where do I start? Make Use Of has just released a new guide that will answer that question and many more. 

This week they are talking about having multiple users being able to log into chrome at once. This is not the "sign-on as a different user" setting in Google Apps, but rather being able to have a second set of bookmarks, formdata, theme and more by signing in as a second user into chrome.

I do actually have this and while there are some things I don't like about it (having to enter each student's email one at a time), I do find the concept interesting...and while this is a bookmark for the iPad, there's also a version for Windows and Mac.

A good, simple browser translation tool from Microsoft. The bookmarklet sits in your bookmark toolbar and translates foreign pages into your language with one click.
