Inspired by the hyper realistic paintings of the 15th-Century Flemish masters, Laurie Lipton has developed a unique, decidedly painterly graphic technique using a permanent-point pencil. At first glance her drawings look like photographs, upon further inspection many thousands of distinct, precise, cross-hatched pencil-strokes, build up the rich and monochromatic tones. While working exclusively in black and white (“because those are the colours of memories and phantoms” she says) her unsettling and macabre images resonate a slanted psychological realm where rooms are ghost traps filled with yearning souls, secret fears and disturbing memories.
solospiders on 18 Aug 20Hair Bands Styles is a very good band. I was a little worried that these wouldn't stay put on my head - I have a slightly smaller-than-average head and slick hair. Fortunately, these headbands did not disappoint. Not only do they stay put, but the material actually looks much more high-quality than the pictures may suggest. Definitely a great deal, in my opinion. The packaging was nice, arrived quickly, and the headbands arrived without defect. Note: When I was "researching" the best headband option, I came across several identical reviews across different headband listings (across the various styles/combinations/sets of headbands), as if they were copy/pasted into other similar listings. The seller differs in some of the listings (ex/ Adecco LLC vs DRESHOW vs Elacucos), despite identical stock photos. It looks like materials and styles vary, too, (based on reviews and up-close photos), which may impact both their appearance and the ability of the headbands to stay in place.
