We understand that educators have started to share Diigo with others. Some people have suggested that we should prepare some standard "presentator's pack" to make preparing their workshop / session easier.

Here are some initial thought of what's needed:

==========

A) For presentator: some Powerpoint presentations (perhaps two versions - "Diigo Intro" vs. "Explore Diigo". "Diigo Intro" version for audience who are completely new to diigo, and "Explore Diigo" is for those who have some basic Diigo knowledge already and wish to explore a little more)

B) For attendees: a step-by-step tutorial guide of how to get started or a simple cheatsheet (what should be included?)

C) What also very desirable are some resources / links section - some white papers / usecases / videos to explain, suggest, showcase some examples

===============

Suggestions very, very welcome. And any offer to help out with any of these materials? Of course, any assistance that we get - we will make sure that we properly acknowledge your name and credit your contribution.

I have a couple ideas for A & B:

A) I like the idea of having two versions of the PowerPoints--Intro and Explore. Especially for the intro presentation, it might be a good idea to structure this in a Q&A format. I've thought of some questions to answer in the intro presentation:
What is Diigo? What are the benefits of Diigo over other social networking sites? How can I use Diigo in education? What can I do with Diigo? (<-- Answer would include commenting and sharing bookmarks and participating in forums.) What is the Diigo Toolbar, and how do I use it? What is the Diigolet? What are the benefits of commenting on a website, and how do I do that? How do I add friends, and what are the benefits of having friends? How do I join groups, and what kinds of groups are there? Can I create my own group?
I'm also thinking it would be great to include the features tutorials here that are already on Diigo's site.

B) I'm not sure how detailed we would want to get, but I'm thinking that we need to include some basics like: how to sign up for a Diigo account, how to find groups, how to find friends, how to bookmark, how to annotate bookmarks, etc.

Depending on the timeline, I'd be happy to help with either of these.

Julie,

Great suggestion, and love to have your assistance

I like the Q&A - it will be a very helpful cheatsheet for anyone. We should definitely get busy on those... Should we open up a wiki doc for this? (hopefully we can re-use some the help tips materials already on help.diigo.com and just summarize and re-work the format somewhat.)

By the way, Emily's video is very helpful for some of the Q&A, how-to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcecBgRd3ig&watch_response

====

PPT - should it be in the Q&A format, or something like

Everyone's feedback welcome
