After my constant bothersome attempts to contact them, the Design Give team finally cracked and made time to finish up our interview. To give you a general idea of what Design Give.com is all about, and why this interview was so important to me, I'll offer up to you this beautifully written statement by the team.. As artists we were given a talent to create, it's up to you to use those talents to try and make a difference in the world.

Do you ever find yourself sitting in front of Photoshop for hours trying to mock up a decent navigation menu, or searching the web for the most aesthetically pleasing color palettes for your users to click on that doesn't remind them of McDonalds or a funeral parlor? Face it, sometimes we all lose our mojo for a moment or two, and then we are forced to validate ourselves not just to the W3C, but also to our website visitors, design clients and portfolio piranhas. And then we remember that through the general kindness of a group of web designers and/or developers, and through organizations such as The Creative Commons who work to guarantee that kind freedom, we don't always have to be the Picaso of style sheets.

This article features desktop wallpaper sets that are, without a doubt, the absolute cream of the crop, and the epitome of beautiful and flawless digital artwork sized down to cover your desktop perfectly. While the wallpaper artist list might not be that extensive, I settled on the fact that it just wouldn't be. With the few artists I've featured, the amount of quality high resolution wallpapers is almost overwhelming.

We at JungleJar were fortunate enough to have Chicago-based illustrator and designer John Solimine of Spike Press (spikepress.com) do an interview for us. This makes for another fantastic interview as John gets fundamentally honest with us and talks about freelancer hardships, Flatstock, and supporting your local library. Textures are absolutely fantastic when working with a variety of mediums. For instance, if you need something to spruce up a photograph, logo, website elements or just about anything else graphic-based, chances are you can find a texture somewhere to help. I've always had a strong appreciation for both umbrellas and photography ..and the rain as well for that matter. Pictoplasma is one of the most impressive, stunning, visually inspiring and overall mind blowing entities out there for publishing, exhibiting, and writing on artistically conceived character design and art and the relationship between the character design and the message behind the piece. I definitely believe that if you're into design of any nature, especially logo design or designs meant to represent a larger entity of any sort, then Pictoplasma should be an organization that you are at least somewhat familiar with.

ProFolio is a professional ready to go portfolio that is perfectly suitable for both a personal portfolio or a more professionally oriented portfolio. Essentially anyone that wants an easy yet customizable way to display their graphical presentations such as photographs, digital art, web designs, etc would most likely be content with this software. Currently ProFolio is free, but the developers behind the software have been saying for as long as I've been aware of ProFolio that at some point in the somewhat near future they will be charging for further downloads. So, I wouldn't drag my feet too long before I gave this one a try.

We've released another free and high quality Wordpress Template for all of you guys to download and hopefully enjoy. All of the features from our previous Wordpress Themes are in this one of course, and I've also included an extra here and there.

We have a new Twitter vector here on JungleJar thanks to Maurizio Russo, who we interviewed here at JungleJar around a month ago. Mau says his inspiration for this Twitter Bird vector came via the musical artist Moby. We also have a video of the creation of Mau's Twitter Bird from sketch concept to vector visualization.

I've put together a nice list of websites offering free color resources for the internet masses. Most of these sites offer some sort of online web application for you to use in your creating process, but they all offer something of value for the graphic designer, web designer, photographer, etc.

We recently gained permission to redistribute this Twitter icon set with an included layered vector for our JungleJar readers to download. There are 15 icons total with 3 design alterations, sizes in pixel dimensions are 212x287, 132x188, 95x130, 68x92, and 53x66.
