Why....after I import the Indaba stems into Ableton....does the combined product not sound like the original? The stems don't line up right even though I copied them each to the beginning of their respective tracks in the Arrangement view.
I listened to one of the tracks by itself. Then I went back to the indaba site and listened to the same track. They don't start the same. Could it be that using the "download all stems" button gives you corrupted files?
I deleted all the stems I had downloaded at once and then re-downloaded each stem individually. The track in question is still corrupted in some way. It is supposed to be 5:50 long, but in Ableton it is only 5:46 long. The first 4 seconds of the stem are missing and I'm not really sure where to go from here.
Am I wrong to assume that each stem should be the same length? When I play them on the Indaba site they are all 5:50. In Ableton they all vary in length. It doesn't matter whether I drag them into the Session view, or the Arrangement view. The clips do not import correctly.
