Students can use these to collaborate within and between groups on their ideas for the mural. They can also add links to various murals they find inspiring and write about why that is. They can also work together using Google Docs to create a presentation of their idea for school administrators when they are ready for that step.

Although this project was created using the old PBL standard the basic components of civic responsibility for second graders can be applied to professional responsibility for respiratory therapy students. The project provides a useful template from which to build my grade and content specific content for improving safety in healthcare. As a social studies teacher, I found this article very helpful. It was really interesting to read the breakdown of the project. There is a lot of frontloading and scaffolded steps to get the students ready to start the projects.
