The common features among the projects that I examined are 1) a recommended grade level, 2) goals, 3) an overview, 4) assessments, 5) extended resources, and 6) standards.

Based on the essential project design element checklist the project I chose does meet the criteria for a good PBL lesson. The project contains a teachers guide and hits one of the most challenging questions even adults ask themselves "what do I want to do/be?" There will be a lot of research into different jobs requiring skills in some form of advanced technology. Students will get to hear from business owners and be given feedback and be able to assess, critique, and have the opportunity to change due to the real-world context of this PBL lesson. https://idahoptv.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/ate10.ate.splstudent/planning-your-future-career-in-advanced-technology/

I chose a project to help my students understand why learning computer science skills can help them even before they go into their chosen careers. With the advancement of technology and how widely it is used, there are many high paying jobs that are looking for students with these skills. I would definitely be able to use this as an introduction to my Web Design class, or as a beginner course before they take Web Design.

Main PBL site that I chose to research regarding Engineering & Technology. https://idahoptv.pbslearningmedia.org/subjects/engineering--technology/#.XOWESG5KiUk
