    I get a lot of emails asking about certain vitamins and trace minerals for hair health and for stopping  hair deprivation.   One of better common of these know minerals is silica.   Research tells us that silica is important for hair health, but does the lack of it contribute to hair thinning and loss?   And does replacing it stop the thinning or losing? I'll discuss this more inside following article.

    What is Silica And How Is it Important To Hair?:   Silica can be a trace mineral that allows you ensure strong bones, nails, skin, and hair.   It is found in our every day diet in foods like almond, strawberries, cabbage, celery, and cauliflower.   Having enough silica makes sure that your hair and nails grow in the normal rate and are generally strong.   There isn't a lot of research about how well-known silica deficiencies now are, but one indication that you may want to note is if nice hair and nails grow slowly or break off quite simply. (A sensitivity to cold is also said to be a possible symptom of an deficiency.)

    In general though that and other minerals are thought to be necessary for optimal locks health, but not with regard to hair retention.   In other words, these vitamins can certainly assistance with the growth rate and the appearance of the hair you do have, but it isn't likely to stop shedding or hair loss in it's tracks because it isn't the likely cause of thinning hair or loss unless you will have a severe deficiency or absorption problem (which isn't likely in a reasonably complete diet or with just using a multi vitamin.)  When one thinks of vitamin deficiencies and baldness, iron is probably the commonest such condition but even it's relatively rare.

    What's Take Silica For My Thinning hair?:   Well, it certainly can't hurt (unless you don't use common sense and over practice it.)  However, you'll often get a good amount of this with a decent diet in addition to a multi vitamin. Still, I would encourage you to love down any treatments that will be safe and appealing back.   However, I should tell you that the most common reason for hair thinning hair is genetic or androgen powered loss.   The second most common cause  are illnesses such as hormonal thyroid issues and auto immune lupus.   (These are typically just examples.   The list is very long and you should discuss any concerns with your doctor.)  Another common issue is usually telogen effluvium which has more to do with stress on the body than a deficiency.   And, it typically manifests itself as shedding which modifies itself before it reaches the level of thinning. None of these items have any correlation with silica or other vitamins.   Often what you decide to do is to stop the androgen sensitivity or to uncover and then address the medical issue straightaway.   Slight hair thinning is also an integral part of the aging process, but any thinning that becomes noticeable ought to be addressed.

    In short, silica can certainly strengthen the hair you've got and may even get your regrowth slightly more rapidly, but it isn't likely in any respect to address any genetic or androgen driven loss nor do you find it likely to address some other causes for shedding and thinning like telogen effluvium, autoimmune factors, illness, or dermatological problems which could affect your scalp together with hair.
