Wise Mapping is the web mind mapping tool that leverages the power of Mind Maps using new technologies like vectorial languages (SVG and VML). No pluggin required.
You create several maps within one map space, provides a chat where the user can invite others to collaborate on the map and through time line slider you can access older versions of the map. It can also be downloaded on ipads. The academic version is more complete than this free version.

I would use this tool, MindOMO, in my Spanish classroom because I would use it to have student link key grammar concepts or vocabulary words together. This would help them see how grammar concepts in Spanish are intermingled and therefore it would help them get a better grasp on the language.
I found it very easy to use and I currently have two mind maps stored there. I used it for a refined flowchart for this class. The free account allows a total of three mind maps and you can attach files, display images and do limited formatting of text.
Mind42 is a free browser-based collaborative mind mapping service. The tool has a very clean and intuitive user interface, and allows collaborators to add include images, change font attributes, and does not limit the number of maps or collaborators. It also uses Google groups to host a forum for networking, and has the ability to restore previous
GoSkyWatch is an app for the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad that allows the user to display a map of the sky at anytime, and with any orientation. The app includes hundreds of images of planets & deep sky objects, constellation, DSO ephemeris data, 180 degree display of the sky, and if you point the back of the device to the ground, you'll get a map of the sky on the other side of the globe at that time.
The downside about WebspirationPRO is that you need to purchase a subscription or you can download a 30 day trial. Overall mindmapping is a useful tool for Professionals and all students (K-college). Professionals and students can brainstorm, develop ideas and express their thinking with visual mapping techniques such as webs, bubble diagrams, concept maps and idea maps.

WikiMindMap is a tool to browse easily and efficiently in Wiki content, inspired by the mindmap technique. Wiki pages in large public wiki's, such as wikipedia, have become rich and complex documents. Thus, it is not always straight forward to find the information you are really looking for. This tool aims to support users to get a good structured and easy understandable overview of the topic you are looking for.
I will use this in the classroom to label pictures and aid in presenting new ideas. The students can add more info as they learn more using it as an ongoing teach piece. Labeling together on the Smart board and then again on their own copy will give a repeat of the knowledge.
WordPress is a user friendly website that allows even a novice blogger to blog like a champion. There is a very nice tutorial that will teach a user everything they need to know. WordPress allows users to include maps, pictures, videos, posts, discussions, polls, and much more!
