This is a good article that includes survey results from students and teachers following a year of 1:1 Chromebook use. It is interesting that survey results are different for elementary vs. high school students, with high school students getting most value from the research uses of the device. I believe it is probably easier to find engaging activities for elementary students than high school students (at least in the math world). The summary of results includes a list of pros and cons by grade level which I found interesting. They include recommendations on policies to address damage and ideas related to having students transport the devices home which can provide us some insight as we move forward.
