Useful tool for creating attractive headings for various websites. Insert text and the website will construct a series of images that spell out your heading.

A double-entry website that has fully interactive text of the Constitution. Each article is broken apart with a specific explanation. From there, students can click on individual passages (usually as small as a single phrase!) to find detailed explanations. Amazingly thorough and in-depth, it has abundant history + law + citizenship uses.

Search Credible is a search service that allows you to access 26 different search engines from one location. Included in the list of search engines Search Credible searches are Wolfram Alpha, EBSCO, ERIC, and the usual suspects such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Memorize.com is a new learning website that allows users to create their own study guides and then share them on the web. The free site assembles user-generated content in three formats -- flash cards, multiple choice, and visual learning diagrams. The topics range from traditional school subjects, such as history, languages, and geography, to less academic categories, such as food, billiards, and television. Users can follow other users and their pages and edit other users' pages to craete their own unique page.

Students can add text and pictures to the information boxes, and they can see their project in map view, satellite view, hybrid view, and night sky. They can zoom in and out and find a particular area using the search box.

The National Archives has created a new web site to help educators teach with primary-source documents. The site, called DocsTeach, not only lets teachers explore documents in a variety of media from the National Archives holdings, but it also includes online tools to help teachers combine these materials and create engaging history activities for students. Encyclopedia of the Earth an electronic reference about the Earth, its natural environmetns, and their interaction with society. It is a free, fully searchable collection of articles written by scholars, professionals, educators, and experts who collaborate and review each other's work. The articles are written in non-technical language and are useful to students, educators, scholars, and professionals, as well as to the general public.
