The Purple Teapot is a blog created by retired teacher and technology integrator, Sue Shaffer. Sue provides weekly prompts for students to respond to. This blog is geared toward kids. She loves comments from the students.

I know Sue Shaffer. She is a retired teacher and technology integrator from Central York. Sue has started this blog to encourage students to continue to write. Check it out. Maybe you could have your students respond to some of the prompts that Sue has created. Students can access this from home or school.

Schoo Tube is a great way for teachers and studetns to watch videos, upload videos, create a Free channel, enter contests, and receive the video of the day.

I have used this site to upload videos created by teachers and students. I haven't seen anything inappropriate on it. I know it is monitored because I believe the video had to be previewed before it was released onto the site.

this site is a free online listing of grants available for K-12 schools and teachers. Grant Wrangler can be especially helpful as school technology budgets tighten. Grants can be searched by keyword or by deadline. The news bulletins are updated daily and contain direct links to applications that are available online. Teachers and administrators can also subscribe to Grant Wrangler's daily e-mail blast, which lists up-to-date grant opportunities.

The nonprofit Buck Institute for Education and Boise State University have put together resources to help educators plan, design, and implement such leassons. The UK-based nonprofit Peace One Day (POD) is offering a free online curriculum focusijng on conflict resolution and nonviolence for grades 6-12.
