Skype in the classrom is a free directory for teachers who want to use Skype to bring education to life in their classrooms.

If you are interested in bring outside experts and guests into your classroom, then Skype in the classroom may be for you.

This math site was created to help students. It is an on-going work in progress and will be updated periodically. There are a lot of free math worksheets on the site.

This site contains tons of links to free teacher resources. The home page currently has 6 categories which users can clink on and then go deeper into a specific area. The categories are chatboards which can be by grade, subject and state; classified ads which are free teacher classified ads, classroom projects with hundreds of project ideas, lesson plans, teacher jobs, teacher mailings for teachers to subscribe to for free.

TeAchnology is a site that has tons of resources for teachers. There are worksheets, lesson plans, rubrics, teacher resources, printables, tools, tips and there is a membership option. Some of the materials are available free as samples but if you want access to all of them I believe it is 29.99 a year.

This site h as links to free worksheets for Math and Language Arts. This is the coolest site. It appears to all be free. The worksheets look great.

Education World is a site with lesson plans and other materials for teachers.

site that provides lesson plans and other resources for teachers. I signed up and found some interesting lessons. There seems to be a lot to go through. On the home page you will see a quick video tutorial about the site that I recommend you check out.

Yodio enables students to create and participate in individual or collaborative digital storybooks using a mobile phone. For example: a class of 1st graders on a trip to the zoo creates a collaborative digital sotrybook with Yodio concerning what they learned about the animals on the trip. Each parent chaperone has a group of four or five students, who take turns calling in to the yodio phone number (on the parent chaperone's phone) and recording their observations about an animal, perhaps even capturing the animal's sound. Students also take a picture of their chosen animal with the cell phone. Back at school, the students log in to Yodio and create a digital sotrybook combining their recorded narrations and photos.

Stories about time: Interactive timeline tools. This is a helpful resource that outlines a variety of timeline tools that could be used educationally.

This is a cool site to checkout and bookmark the tools that you may be able to use at some point. Timelines are great in that they provide a way for students to organize their thinking about a particular topic. Check out some of the timeline tools outlined in this link.

Education in 2030 developed by the Hoover Institution Stanford University. This is an interesting look at different aspects of education and what it is anticipated education may look like in 2030.

This information does not surprise me. I thought it was very interesting and 2030 is really not that far in the future.
