This site has numerous (2,100) carefully selected and annotated resources. You can click on the lobby link on the main page to go to the resources. You can click on the welcome to K12imc.org a t the bottom to go to the instructional media center where there are additional links taking you to specific locations on the site. At the bottom of the IMC page you can click on explore the worlds of K12IMC.org and within the explore page you will be able to link to more resources that are clearly described. Within each of the resource links you will go to a page where there will be a variety of content specific links. This site was interesting. There were lessons for teachers, there was a link on the explor page that will take you to experts in various fields. This is a site worth checking out because a user could, through this one site, find numerous credible and useable resources.

Found this site to be very interesting and loaded with lots of useable resources.

"The Best Resources For Learning Research & Citation Skills September 24, 2009 by Larry Ferlazzo | 8 Comments This "The Best…" list is sort of a combination of two lists I had been thinking of making to go along with The Best Online Resources To Teach About Plagiarism (Another list to keep in mind might be The Best Reference Websites For English Language Learners - 2008). The more I thought about it, though, the more I felt that a list of engaging (and even fun) sites to teach research skills and accessible citation resources would make a good combination. Since a graduation requirement in our district is that seniors need to develop a "Senior Project," I've spent some time finding these kinds of helpful sites that might be accessible to English Language Learners.  I have to say, though, that these sites (except for the first one) would probably only be accessible to more advanced ELL's. Lots of great sites in one place.

Middlespot is an innovative web site for social bookmarking that allows users to collect sites in a visual way. This would be a great tool for teachers to organize content appropriate web sites and then share them with their students.

Cool site! a free collection of educational videos for students ages 3-18. There are more then 11,000 videos on such subjects as math, science, and history. Students, parents and teachers have designated pages and the site offers a guide for contributors. Featured videos originate from national Geographic, YouTube, and google Videos, among others, and have been endorsed by educators from universities such as Harsvard, Standford, and Brigham Young University.

Are you a tired teacher then here's the site for you.

Free worksheets on a variety of topic for language arts (reading and writing, grammar, spelling phonics, handwriting) as well as math, science and social studies. There are also brain teasers and teacher helper tools such as award certificates, teaching tips, etc. In addition, there are holiday worksheets. This site would be great for differentiated activities. In a quick preview I saw they had worksheets that were of the same topic areas but they has easy and harder options available. This would be another good site to share with parents.

This site provides a variety of ready to use lesson plans on a variety of topics. The lessons have an essential question as well as an outline of strategies and activities that can be used to teach them. In addition, if appropriate, graphic organizers will be provided for use with the lessons. When you get to the site use the Find a Lesson Plan search feature to easily see if there is a lesson that aligns to your curriculum.

PBS Teachers is a wonderful site with lots of resources and supplemental material for teachers to use with students. This particular link will take you directly to the STEM education resource center: Professional Development and the focus on this page is Global Climate Change Modules from PBS and NASA. However, if you look at the top of the page you can choose a specific grade band and then within that there are various content areas that can be chosen. Looks like a very interesting site with lots of resources to select from.

Looks like a good site full of supplemental resources. Worth the search and a look.

This site introduces civil engineering to students. If a teacher or parent clicks on the little green truck to the right of the screen it will take you to a page with information and resources on the site.

Soundjay is a collection of music and sound tracks that are free to use as long as you cite the Soundjay site and you are not allowed to post the sounds on any web site for others to download, link directly to individual sound files, or sell the sounds to anyone else. You can put them into your videos.

This site provides a collection of free online and printable language arts activities and merials for grades K-8.

Willow Elementary School Willow Web site has K-5 plus specialists links. I have bookmarked some of the links individually but wanted to share the entire site so you could check them out for yourself.

This is a really great site. Users can create book lists of books you have read, want to read or are currently reading. You can connect with friends and family and see what everyone is reading and share your book reviews. It is free.

What a great tool for groups of people to network about what they are reading. One of my grad students shared this with me. She uses it for her gifted students. She is able to see what they have or are reading. She can also see what their goal is and what books are yet to be read from their goal. Free site. Users add their own book reviews.

This math site was created to help students. It is an on-going work in progress and will be updated periodically. There are a lot of free math worksheets on the site.

With a view of travel as an educational experience like no other, the project makes use of digital media to promote an understanding of different culture and customs to students worldwide. The site hosts virtual field trips to England, Jordan, and South Africa that include more than 160 fort films that correspond to the destinations. Each video explains more about the region's food, music, culture, and language. Since 2003, project explorer has counted more than a million visitors to the site from more than 40 different countries. Recently, it won a Parents' Choice Award for "Outstanding Web Programming." The site's developers qre not working to add a fourth field trip--this one to Malaysia--the Project Explorer has lesson for upper elementary, middle and high school. They plan to offer lesson specifically designed for the early grades.

This site h as links to free worksheets for Math and Language Arts. This is the coolest site. It appears to all be free. The worksheets look great.
