Learn With Math Games is a site that I like because it offers online games as well as PDF templates for games that teachers and students can play in their classrooms. Learn With Math Games is organized by grade level and by mathematics topic.

Learning Games for Kids offers games for mathematics as well as many other content areas. Most of the games on Learning Games for Kids can be played directly on the website although some do link out to other sources.

Smarty Games features games for developing basic mathematics and reading skills. There are six mathematics games covering basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The reading section has two alphabet games and nine animated stories. In addition to the mathematics and reading activities, Smarty Games offers activities for learning to read a clock, puzzles, mazes, coloring activities.

Sharing this again as there have been some additions to that that I think will be very helpful for teachers grades K-8.

Free spelling games at gamesgames.com. This site is worth checking out there is such a variety in the games. There will be something for everyone. Great site to share with parents or add to your web page.

Thinking about numbers using frames of 5 can be a helpful way to learn basic number facts. The four games that can be played with this applet help to develop counting and addition skills. Instructions Choose one of the four games that can be played with this applet: How Many: Identify how many items or empty squares there are. Build: Drag a certain number of items to the frame. Fill: Determine how many items are needed to fill the remaining squares. Add: Drag items to complete addition problems. Choosing Play All from the Games menu will randomize which of the four games is played.

The content of the collection ranges from simple drilling-style games to challenging word puzzles. There are sixteen categories of games offered by Smart Kit. The categories of most interest to educators are probably the math puzzles and word puzzles categories.

Looks like a great virtural site for kids ages 3-12. One to share with parents.

This is an excellent vocabulary website that offers hundreds of amazing games and activities to teacher vocabulary.

Great variety of games on this site to teach vocabulary. K-12 games. You just pick a game type on the main page and then you can pick a category on the left and you will see what is available by grade level.

Shedd Aquarium in Chicago has a great collection of interactive learning activities. The activities are categorized according to grade level and vary in format. Some of the interactive activities are like video games (Squish the Fish for 1st graders) while others are more like virtual scavenger hunts (Conservation Investigation). The games and virtual scavenger hunts could easily take students an hour or longer to complete and the students would learn something new throughout the activity. In addition to the interactive activities, Shedd Aquarium provides a host of great Marine Science lesson plans for grades K-12.

SoftSchools.com provides free math worksheets, free math games, grammar quizzes and free phonics worksheets and games. Worksheets and games are organized by grades and topics. These printable math and phonics worksheets are auto generated.

This site appears to have numerous resources for teachers, students or parents.

National Geographic Kids has a wide variety of games, puzzles, and activities for students of elementary school age. National Geographic Kids has nine games specifically for developing geography skills.

Pest World for Kids has a great index of pests which includes information on what they look like, where they are found, and how to prevent pest infestations. The Pest World for Kids website has four fun educational games that students will enjoy playing as they learn about insects and rodents. In the teacher section of Pest World for Kids, teachers will find lesson plans to accompany the educational games.

Study Ladder is a great resource. There are content categories and within each category there are hundreds and hundreds of activities. Within in content areas activities may also be broken down into grade level. It's Free. Lots of learning activities to choose from. There is an ESL section under the English category.

Another good website for learning and practicing language basics is Literacy Center.net. Literacy Center offers games for learning and practicing French, Spanish, German, and English. The Literacy Center is a 501c non-profit with a contract from the US Department of Education.
