  The BBC News reports that out of 22 countries, women's rights in Egypt is ranked as the worst. The rankings were extremely low because of the issues sexual harassment, high rates of female genital mutilation and a growth in conservative Islamist groups. The survey noted that "discriminatory laws and a spike in trafficking contributed to Egypt's place at the bottom of the ranking."
